AWE Fall Portfolio for Teens

AWE Portfolio is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It’s for middle school and high school students who want to prepare portfolios or just want to make art and improve their skills. There are two sessions druing the fall. Each session is 6 classes. Session 1 starts the week of September 8 until the week of December 7. Monday and Wednesday classes are 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A student can arrive as early as 3:30 pm. Tuesday classes are 4:30-6:30 pm. A student can arrive as early as 4:00 pm. We will primarily draw and paint. We will focus on technique and eye-hand coordination while building skills within the traditional foundations of art. We will concentrate on the portfolio requirements; figure drawing, still-lifes, self-portraiture and personal art.  AWE Fall Portfolio gives guidance and instruction to each student’s needs and style. Style means a personal approach to making art like knowing who created the drawing or painting by looking at their marks, brush strokes and over-all appearance. The goal is to create a cohesive portfolio that is personal, professional and presentation-ready for any art high school or college. We guide students on how to convey visually and conceptually, their ideas through image, style and process.
